The 2011 Megalithomania conference is taking place on the 14th - 15th May at the Assembly Rooms in Glastonbury. So far JOHN MAJOR JENKINS, author of 'Maya Cosmogenesis 2012' and 'Galactic Alignment' has agreed to come over from the US to do a lecture or two. Plus we have CHRISTOPHER KNIGHT & ALAN BUTLER, authors of 'Civilization One' and 'Before the Pyramids'. CARMEN BOULTER has also agreed to come over from Canada and present her research on Ancient Egypt and also on Matriachal societies in prehistoric cultures. Carmen produced the fascinating TV series called 'The Pyramid Code'. The last two conferences have opened up an area of pre-history that was once an unknown part of our heritage. The forthcoming 2010 event promises to continue this unfoldment of understanding our incredible, but often overlooked ancestors. We are pleased to announce that the great Aubrey Burl will be joining us to give us a glimpse into his new research on stone circles. Robert Bauval will be discussing his breakthrough discoveries about the origins of Egypt, and Andrew Collins will be revealing the cave and tunnel systems beneath Giza he recently discovered. Staying on that continent, Michael Tellinger will be opening up a lost megalithic civilization from Great Zimbabwe that is arguably the oldest city-state on the planet; and Antoine Gigal has rediscovered pyramids on Mauritius, as well as in Sicily and Tenerife. Back to Albion, Anthony Thorley will be discussing the subject of his Phd, Landscape Zodiacs in Britain, and Francine Blake will be comparing ancient rock carvings to modern crop circle symbolism. The largest Green Festival in Europe returns from a year-off next weekend and in the back corner of the festival, nestled around a contemporary stone circle, lies the Earth Energies & Divinatory Arts field. After a decade of showcasing cutting-edge presentations, workshops and films, the EEDA is now regarded as a Conference in a Field and is attracting authors and researchers from fields as diverse as astrology, earth mysteries, sacred geometry, environmental science, archaeoastronomy, bushcraft, anthropology and spirituality.

The Conference in a Field theme continues into 2009, with a slight expansion in the EEDA to accommodate speakers and workshop facilitators from the Ethics, Spirituality & Philosophy (ESP) area, who are no longer running their own field. In all, there will be about 50 speakers and four full days of talks. Highlights include Danu Forest , who has recently published Nature Spirits and Serena Roney-Dougal who will be giving us the low-down on her six years of psychic training with Tibetan Yogis and Buddhists. We also welcome Gregory Sams who has just published a groundbreaking book called Sun of gOd and Lee and Tim Hooker who have uncovered incredible megalithic sites in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Other speakers include Hugh Newman, Natalie Fee, Peter Taylor, Kevan Manwaring, Celia Gunn, Anthony Thorley and Rebekah Shaman discussing such subjects as ley lines, Ayahuasca, landscape zodiacs and internal alchemy.

Regulars such as Joy Youngman, Geoff Stray, Neil Oram, Jewls Wingfield and Shaun Kirwan will be talking alongside new speakers Kate Masters, Gary Biltcliffe, Gary King and Ashera Hart . New themes this year include Common Law and how to become a Freeman with special guest John Harris , plus skills in Bushcraft and Wild-Food foraging. We also welcome back popular astrologers Jonathan Cainer and Steve Judd , who will be giving us their cosmic downloads in the Sun and Moon marquees. Steve, who founded the EEDA area many moons ago, will be radio broadcasting from the site on the Saturday morning. The Wheel of Astrologers will be giving readings in their beautiful astrology garden and divinatory arts such as Dowsing, Tarot and Runes will be available in the area.

The popular Earth Space is in the beautiful, enchanting quarry at the top of the Earth Energies field, literally in the Earth! It has daily Shamanic workshops, Overtone Sound singing, dowsing training and Bushcraft and Wild-food skills. Then in the evening from 9pm the curtains go up for a night of films and documentaries to expand your mind, increase your knowledge and entertain your inner child. During the first 40 minutes we show some of the classic animation from the 70s & 80s. Then from 9:50pm we have a selection of some amazing films to shatter illusions and wake up the soul over four nights, each with a theme. Including a Premiere screening of The Rainbow Serpent: The Pilgrim Age to 2012 by local filmmaker Tor Webster. The Earth Energies and Divinatory Arts field is a modern Mystery School and welcomes all Big Green Gathering attendees to experience another side to the mysteries of life.
