Venue: Hammick House, Poundbury, Dorchester Time: 10.30-4.30

Have you ever sat with someone as they were dying and wished that you could make it a better experience? The Gentle Dying method teaches an array of simple but effective, non-invasive, and safe techniques to enhance the dying experience for both patient and also the carer. The method is specially designed for care workers and nurses, but is simple enough for anyone to learn on a one day course. Therapeutic touch, essences, use of sound, essential oils and breathing techniques are covered along with other suggestions and practical information, for recognising and working within a four stages of dying framework. The holistic approach to palliative care is an area new to many but its effects can make a comforting and re-assuring difference to those in the final days of life and also to their relatives and carers.

Full day certificated course.
