What perplexed three different photographers was that the pictures they took showed through his body. The effect being even more marked in the negative. The painting shown here is titled "Soul's Journey", painted by Rassouli. An example of psychic art. This particular image depicts a nature spirit or elemental being. The idea of extended worlds of consciousness beyond the world of man although not central to our current evidence driven thinking, has in recent times re-entered the modern psyche. The existence of Elemental or Devic kingdoms (everything; the elemental, mineral, animal, vegetable, fire, water) as living, dynamic, sensate expressions of consciousness, was very much a part of thinking in the classical world and also of medieval scholars such as Paracelsus. Orbs or Elaeons that were captured on film by Lorna Heath and Dean Carter of the Centre for Pure Sound at a sound bath. the sound generated through our use of crystal and Tibetan bowls and overtoning attracted these beings; possibly through generating a bridge between audible sound and higher vibratory levels.

The word Elaeons is comprised of EL that comes first from the Sumerian where it means brightness or shining, hence the appellation the Shining Ones. In this instance we may as well say Light. It then, of course, becomes one of the many names given in our mistranslated scriptures as God, and becomes the suffix designating the department or function of each of the archangel names. The word aeon has come to mean an era, an epoch, or a stretch of historical time. The original definition was about the Higher Being or Beings that ruled Earth during previous times. The definition in the Dictionary of Angels runs thus: Aeon—in Gnosticism, the aeon is a celestial power of a high order. It is a term used to designate the 1st created being or beings. The Cosmic Template (pictured opposite) illustrates the relationship between our higher self that exists in the plane of spirit and our earthly lives as human beings incarnate in a physical body. In many respects it represents a template for all aspects of evolving consciousness (in human form or otherwise).

The top (head) part of the diagram depicts the Monad (or higher self aspect of the soul) which works with our spirit guides to develop the different aspects of the lower self, bringing them in to balance. The Higher Self is represented by the colour Pink. The main aspects of the Self are shown as the physical (green), the mental or thinking (blue) and the astral or intuitive (purple). We might think of ourselves as a column with the Monad (Higher Self) at the top and the physical body at the base.

Despite our existence in a physical form (a body) we retain a lifetime connection with our Higher Self or soul through what is known as our etheric (or subtle energy) body. This connection is depicted by the golden colour that extends right through the diagram to the level of physical existence (depicted by the green cross and ball at the base of the picture). The Etheric Body could be thought of as a structure of vital forces or energies and when death comes, it returns to source and the Physical Body collapses and disintegrates.
